With Apple's annual event for 2022 happening a few days ago, many had been looking forward to the Apple Airpods Pro 2 with lots of new features. With all the commotion and a high price point, we know our customers can have the same benefits with the new release of 2nd generation and 3rd generations of our True Wireless products.
Apple Airpods Pro 2 vs. JLab True Wireless Earbuds
For almost all new and improved features we see on the Airpods 2 Pro, we have comparable options with our new True Wireless Earbuds. Whether you value your earbuds audio quality, battery life, noise cancellation, or even adaptive transparency, JLab has earbuds with even better features for a surprisingly awesome value.
Even down to the look, we have plenty of stem earbuds that match the same style as the original Airpods Pro. If you were looking for black Airpods - many of our models come in black, including the charging case that can keep your earbuds alive with a single charge.
Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode
When you want to enjoy your music and tune out the rest of the world, active noise cancellation offers a listening experience where you can fully enjoy what you are listening to. JLab offers many noise cancelling headphones, even with the same stem design, at much cheaper price points.
What is the battery life of the Airpods 2?
With Apple AirPods noise cancelling activated, listening time is limited to 6 hours in-ear. This leads to a total listening time to 30 hours of listening time with ANC activated using the charging case.
Meanwhile JLab Epic Air ANC 2nd Generation is perfect for our audiophiles out there and has an 8 hour listening time with ANC on. When the earbuds are in the charging case, you get an additional 36+ hours.

If you do not have a wireless charger, you can plug in The Epic Air ANC 2nd Gen are also able to charge either wirelessly or through the case with attached cord that's USB-A and can be plugged in virtually anywhere.
How good is Airpods Pro Noise Cancellation?
When you want to tune out all outside noise, you need to make sure that your earbuds have the perfect fit. You want to be able to have the perfect acoustic seal between your ear and headphones. The best way to go about this it to make sure the ear tips fit in your ear perfectly to close in the sound, and secure your earbuds in place.
With their new release the AirPods Pro 2 come with 4 pairs of silicone tips. Previously the only offered 3 sizes, but have now added an XS ear tip size to cover a broader range.
Meanwhile the JLab Epic Air ANC Gen 2 comes with 6 different size tips. They come in a range of different fits and sizes as every pair includes: 3 x Gel Tips: S, M, L, 2 x Extra Long Tips: M, L, 1 Medium Cloud Foam™ Eartips. We wanted to make sure we had a wide range of options for our listeners as everyone deserves to fully tune in to their music.
Transparency Mode
With the new Apple Airpods comes a new way to listen with Transparency - that way you can still hear the world around you. This is almost the opposite of active noise cancellation, as it allows you to hear all the noises around you and even amplifies the noise around you. Making it easier for conversations and hearing the space around you.
JLab has a comparable feature that has been around for quite a bit known as Be Aware Audio. Our Be Aware Audio technology allows outside ambient noise, in. This is helpful when you go on a run or walk and need to hear cars, when you are working out with a friend, or when someone comes over to ask you a question. We have lots of models with Be Aware Audio, ranging from sports earbuds to headsets.
Adaptive EQ and Audio Settings
Adaptive EQ is a feature on the new Airpods Pro that automatically adjusts the audio EQ of what you are listening to. Microphones on the apple device measure what you are listening to and changes the frequency of what you are listening to whether you like it or not.
Meanwhile JLab has mastered EQ in lots of models of our products. We offer what's known as EQ3 which offers 3 different EQ settings: JLab Signature, Balanced, and Bass Boost. Each setting has benefits for different genres of music. Your audio EQ can be adjusted whether you want Bass EQ or a more traditional listening experience.
The airpods also come with a new feature known as personalized spatial audio. Think of it similar to surround sound where it appears that sounds are coming from different directions. Please note that not all songs are specifically made for spatial audio. Additionally, using spatial audio kills the battery life faster on your earbuds.
Touch Control
Both the Apple Airpods Pro 2 and many models of JLab True Wireless Earbuds come with touch controls.
With the airpods control you can play or fast forward through your music with different touch controls. If you are wondering how to activate noise cancellation on airpods you can press and hold to switch between Active Noise Cancellation and Adaptive Transparency.
Additionally, JLab earbuds have the same controls to skip around with your music, but ultimately it varies based on the type of earbud. Also, JLab is the only company that allows you to switch EQ settings through touch controls on the earbuds.

If you have ever misplaced your earbuds, you know how unnerving losing the outlet to your music can be. Both Apple and JLab have a solution to this problem allowing you to be able to track your earbuds location.
